Award-winning architecture, timeless design and natural materials

The LAGOM project (36 condominiums, 17 terraced house, four semi-detached and five detached houses) is characterised by its use of natural materials, high-quality workmanship and timeless design. Streamlined down to the essentials, it draws upon the beauty of nature and the look of a boathouse, blending in beautifully with its maritime setting by lake Ammersee. The light facades made from Nordic spruce lend a floaty summery feel as they reflect the light and water. Large glazed surfaces let plenty of natural light into the living areas ensuring a pleasant airy ambience.

Aesthetics and function in perfect unison

Thanks to the innovative technology behind the folding sliding shutters, they create distinctly authentic accents on the wooden facades of the single-family homes and apartment buildings. These are clad with the same wooden slats as the facade and blend in seamlessly with the whole look of the buildings when closed, much like an “elegant” boathouse. The positioning of all the components and the distribution of the wooden slat screens were planned with meticulous precision to ensure the facade gives off a uniform impression. When the shutters are open they allow an unobstructed view of nature, whilst protecting against the sun rays entering from the sides. 468 folding sliding shutter screens are installed in the LAGOM new build project: Two-part folding sliding shutters made of unplaned wooden slats – a specially made welded unit with filigree angle frames and folding sliding EFSL fittings mounted on the guide rail.
