The window shutter with movable slats has at least one frame with free-moving slats. Irrespective of this, the other slat frames can be closed with aluminium panels (plain or with grooves running lengthwise or crosswise). Two or more slat frames are separated by a frieze running lengthwise or horizontally. The slats are moved by a visible or concealed control rod.

Irrespective of this, the other slat frames can be closed with aluminium panels (plain or with grooves running lengthwise or crosswise). Two or more slat frames are separated by a frieze running lengthwise or horizontally.

The closed model only consists of closed fillings that are made of either elements that look like slats or aluminium panels. The way the surface area is divided up depends on how many slat frames there are. There are also cross and batten or Z bar panels as additional design elements.

The sandwich construction of the insulating model made from highly insulating reinforced polystyrene foam and two aluminium panels, ensures the best insulating properties. Whether as a closed window shutter in a simple design or the specially shaped version with a slat look, the heat-insulating model ensures thermal comfort at any time of year or day.

Thanks to the special way it is produced, the fast frame is perfect for installations in new constructions and the renovation of old buildings, either with windowsills or open floors.
The fast frame and base frame are already fitted with brackets at the factory, which are used as mounts for the window shutters and their straps. The fast frames and inner frames are installed directly on the wall soffits of the wall opening.

4. Thermal insulation
Shutters with integrated insulation have a heat-insulating effect, thus ensuring greater energy efficiency. In winter, closed shutters protect against the cold, while on hot summer days they help maintain a pleasant indoor climate. Their sandwich construction, consisting of highly insulating polystyrene hard foam between aluminum panels, guarantees the best insulation values.

The practical retractable insect screen provides effective protection against the entry of unwanted insects and midges into the living quarters when the windows are open. The insect screen is easy to open and close. It fits into almost all of Schenker Storen’s window shutters and can also be installed at a later date.

9. Pull handle
The window shutter can be fitted with a stylish pull handle. The ring-shaped handle makes it even easier and comfortable to open and close the shutter.
10. Catches
A catch is a practical holding device that secures the window shutter in place when it is opened or closed. The window shutter automatically locks into place and remains anchored in the clamping fixture. The window shutter can be released again by hand using the crank.
11. Special shapes
Because not every window is angular, Schenker Storen offers a range of special shapes. The various round arches and sloping surfaces fit into almost any window.
12. Cutouts
Shutters with a simple sheet metal filling are available with different motifs such as rectangles, diamonds, hearts, or circles. The cutouts can be customized.
13. Transverse and longitudinal friezes
Transverse and longitudinal friezes can be installed between the panels as individual design elements. In larger models, they give the sash additional stability.
14. Colours
Endlessly versatile
The window shutter is available in a wide range of different colours, such as antique finish and wood decor, as well as matt or silk gloss finishes. The powder-coated surfaces are impact resistant and scratch-resistant, which ensure they remain colourfast for an extremely long time and do not need to be repainted. The special pre-treatment Ocean Line plus is suitable for protecting the product against filiform corrosion in extreme conditions, such as those found by the sea, in swimming pools or in the chemical industry.

The finishes, which are based directly on their natural models, appear astonishingly authentic. Our finishes mirror the natural beauty of real wood, stone or rust, yet remain as durable as aluminium.
16. Types of drive
The electric window shutter can be conveniently operated at the push of a button without having to open the window. If a window shutter is already installed, a motor can be retrofitted. When required, the window shutter can also be opened and closed from the inside using a hand crank.
