Pleated blinds

In the “taut” variant, a tensioning cord runs along the upper and lower rails. What makes the pleated blind so special is that it can be freely adjusted up and down from both sides. The drop is fixed with four clamping shoes. The entire system can be raised and lowered using the two tensioning cords. A taut pleated blind can even be installed over window fronts measuring 180 cm wide using a Maxi profile fitted with a counterbalancing spring. The taut pleated blind variant is particularly suitable for glazing bead installations.

In the “free-hanging” variant, the pleated blind is fixed to the upper rail and does not slip downwards. It can be operated with a cord, chain or an electric drive or the lower rail can simply be moved up or down by hand. The drop is locked in each position. The pleated blind in its free-hanging variant is ideal for wall or ceiling installations where there is a window recess.

The honeycomb pleated blind builds on the advantages of the standard pleated blind. In addition to the sight and glare protection, it also offers better room acoustics and an improved energy balance.

As the name suggests, it has a hollow honeycomb structure between two layers of fabric. The air trapped in this honeycomb structure acts as an insulating layer delaying the transfer of heat and cold. It also diffuses the natural light creating a softer, cosier atmosphere and aesthetic look.

Depending on the design variant, our pleated blind can be mounted on the wall or ceiling. Here the system is mounted in front of the window and covers the entire window recess. There are various fixing systems available, such as clips and clamping shoes or angle brackets and glazing bead supports for a front assembly. Using clamp and glazing bead supports, our pleated blind can also be installed directly in the glazing bead or on the window sash. Where installations have an overhang, for example in rented apartments, the blind can be mounted without any drilling using adhesive sets or window clips.
