The discreet classic
No balcony is too small for a cosy spot in the shade. Our balcony awning is the classic sun blind for balconies and smaller seating areas in single-family homes and apartment buildings. It is predominantly suitable for locations where the awning is protected by a ceiling or roof overhang when it is closed. It fits in with any facade’s colour scheme and the valance is very useful when the sun is low. The tried and tested technical solutions and carefully selected materials underpin its reliability. The balcony awning is compact and stylish and fits in discreetly with the balcony.

The balcony awning is our classic among open articulated-arm awnings and with its maximum width of 6 m and projection of up to 2.5 m, provides a total shaded area of 12.5 m2. Despite its considerable size, it still looks stylish and uncluttered.

The CGM 5 is the balcony awning’s little sister and has a maximum width of 5 m. It too can be extended up to 2.5 m, thereby providing a maximum shaded area of 12.5 m2. The CGM 5’s special feature is its canopy with extended front rail profile. This protects the fabric optimally against direct rainfall and dirt when it is retracted. The CGM 5 is especially suitable in areas with greater demands for weather protection.
Wall or ceiling mounting
Wall or ceiling mounting
With the combination bearing, the balcony awning is attached at just two fixing points respectively. The combination bearing can be secured to the front-facing side for a wall installation or tilted 90° so it can be secured upside down on the ceiling. The external dimensions of the balcony awning vary depending on the type of installation. When it is closed, the balcony awning installed on the wall has a depth of approx. 235 mm and a height of 180 mm. With the ceiling mounting, the depth is approx. 226 mm and the height 191 mm. These dimensions are valid for models with motor drives.

4. Canopy
If the balcony awning is to keep out the rain as well, an aluminium canopy can be ordered separately. This protects the awning fabric from direct exposure to the weather when it is retracted. The canopy is mounted directly onto the wall and can also be retrofitted. The canopy is powder-coated and fits in perfectly with the overall look of the awning.
5. Types of drive
Crank or smartphone?
Our balcony awning can be adjusted both manually with a hand crank or a motor. On request, the awning can be controlled wirelessly or you can integrate it into a Smart Home system so you can operate it with ease at the push of a button via a central control unit or on your smartphone.
