Our convex venetian blind stands out with its high-quality and classic look. The elegant convex shape of its slats makes it something really special and offers and interesting design alternative. Owing to its wide range of applications, it has proven a great choice for single-family homes and apartment buildings as well as public buildings. Because it is space-saving when installed, it is also ideal for renovations.

The slats can be freely adjusted, making it possible to create individual lighting schemes. The convex venetian blind is easy to use, quiet and fitted with all the qualities that make it a favourite among blinds

Classic, highly efficient sun and weather protection system

The convex venetian blind is available in two designs: the KR 80 (width 80 mm) and KR 60 (width 60 mm), which mainly differ in the width of their slats and the amount of space they take up.

The individual aluminium slats are connected with the reinforced Kevlar lifting cord through the stainless steel eyelets stamped into the slat’s flanges.

In addition to all this, various profile guides are available in different shapes and designs, and the KR 80 also comes with the option of a cord guide Whether it is installed in the recess, with a panel or at the front of the building, the convex venetian blind can be nicely integrated onto almost any architectural setting and is exceptionally easy to service and look after.

Profile guide

Continuous guide made from extruded aluminium that slides quietly and securely. Shapes and designs: round, angular, slim and wide. Can be installed on the side of the soffit or with various guide brackets. The “disguised guide” to fit in seamlessly with the facade. Directly connected to the window with the option of lowering in the side soffit or as an alternative to the bracket-installation. Facade installation option: Integration of the guide in the facade profile on metal construction facades.

Cord guide

Cord guide

Fine, discrete and anti-corrosive steel cord thanks to its plastic coating (cord diameter: 3mm). Easy, space-saving assembly with spring pre-load allow for an unrestricted installation. The cord holder does not have to be fixed onto a wall or soffit.

The cord guide opens up a wide choice of architectural possibilities in the design of the facade.

Recess assembly

Recess assembly

In this installation scenario, the convex venetian blind is fully integrated into the recess. Depending on the size of the recess, a slat width of 60mm or 80mm can be used. The blind is built into the facade so it is concealed when retracted. This gives the facade an uncluttered look.

The following types of installation are available:

Conventional guide:
Installation of the frame, which is open at the bottom and easily accessible for servicing purposes, using an assembly support. The guides are attached individually.

Fixed guide: Self-supporting guide system
Installation of the frame on fixed guides with guide supports, which is open at the bottom and easily accessible for servicing purposes. After the fixed guides have been installed, the frame can be connected directly with the guides. The self-supporting window blind design protects the insulation in the recess and also reduces the transmissions of noise and makes for an easy installation.

Installation at the front of the building

Installation at the front of the building

In this installation scenario, the compact venetian blind is attached to the front of the facade. The window blind design projects out from the facade. An additional canopy is attached to the facade to protect the blind and cover it when it is retracted. The canopy is available in various shapes and colours.

In this installation scenario, the convex venetian blind is built into the recess and the mount on the outside is covered with an additional panel. This panel offers further options for the design of the facade. The panels are available in a wide selection of shapes and colours.

There are two types of installation to choose from: With a conventional guide or a fixed guide (self-supporting guide system).

5. Acoustic insulation

The conventional installation also comes with the option of an acoustic insulation frame bracket. This unique and patented noise protection measure absorbs noises and noticeably reduces the building emissions. Particularly suitable for semi-detached and terraced houses as well as condominiums.

6. Insect screen

The insect screen can be fitted to the convex venetian blinds KR 60 and KR 80 with the space-saving combined guide. This reliable insect screen stops bothersome insects entering your home, even when the windows are open. It is easy to look after and weather-resistant.

7. Colours

A rainbow of colours

You can match the colour of the slats, profile guides, panels and canopies with your window and facade. At Schenker Storen there is an almost endless selection of colours to cater for the colour scheme of your choice. Thanks to our in-house powder-coating system, we produce weather-resistant, scratchproof and dirt-repellent products and can therefore guarantee long-lasting colour fastness.

8. Types of drive

Our convex venetian blind can be powered both manually with a hand crank or a motor. You decide whether to control your blinds wirelessly or connect them to a Smart Home system to make operating them even easier.
